Configure visitor parking rules
Set parking lots, rules, pass types, limits, and approval behavior for a building. You need permission to open building Settings for Parking Pass.

- Open Settings from the sidebar menu.
- Under Operations, click Parking Pass.
Tip: The page title is Parking Pass Settings. Path:
/app/settings/{buildingId}/parking-passes. If you see Parking pass services are off for this building, enable them in Administration → Properties → Services first. - On the Rules tab, click Add parking rule (or open an existing rule by name).Parking Pass Settings Rules tab — Rules list with Add parking rule button
- On General, enter Name, assign at least one lot under Parking lots, and set Allow residents to book if residents may request passes.
- On Schedule, choose Parking type (Sliding (time-based) or General (schedule-based)), then click Add pass type.
- In the pass type dialog, set schedule/duration on Schedule, turn on Requires staff approval on Restrictions if staff must approve requests, and on Limits set quotas and optionally Allow over-limit bookings. Finish with Add pass type (new) or Save (edit).
- On the rule’s Limits tab, optionally set rule-level caps such as Max bookings per suite or Max bookings per license plate (click No limit · Set a limit, enter the value, then confirm with the check control).
- On Messages & legal and Notifications, adjust agreements, disclaimers, and email events as needed.
- Click Create parking rule (new draft) or Save changes (existing rule).
- On the Rules list, enable the rule with the Enabled control when you are ready (confirm Turn on rule if prompted). Use the Parking lots tab to Add parking lot or edit lots as needed.
Result: A toast shows Parking pass settings saved. Staff can issue passes under the enabled rule from Visitor Parking; pass types with Requires staff approval appear on Pending until approved.
