Overview

Always know which keys and fobs are out, who has them, and when they were returned. Replaces the clipboard with an auditable digital log.

Who uses this

Concierge, security, building manager.

Open the feature

Front Desk → Key log.

Step-by-step

  1. Click Issue.
  2. Pick the key by storage location or barcode.
  3. Select the recipient (resident, contractor, staff).
  4. Optional: capture a photo of ID.
  5. On return, find the entry and click Mark returned.
  6. At shift end, open Reconcile to see what's still out.

Settings & permissions

Admins manage the key inventory and decide whether photo ID is required for contractors.

Multi-building tips

Inventory is per building.

Notifications

Optional alert when a key has been out longer than the configured limit.

Reports & exports

Export issuance and return history; filter by recipient or storage location.

Troubleshooting

  • Key marked out but is in the cabinet. Mark returned with a note; the audit trail keeps both events.
