AI Assistant

Overview

A chat interface that answers questions about your buildings (e.g. 'How many parcels last week in Tower A?') and about how to use the platform (e.g. 'How do I send a survey to owners only?'). Every answer cites its sources.

Who uses this

Any staff role.

Open the feature

AI Assistant in the sidebar, or the Ask AI button in the global header.

Step-by-step

1. Type a question or pick a starter prompt.
2. The assistant replies with a short answer and source citations (links into the help center or into your data).
3. Click a source to verify.
4. Use Refine to narrow the building, time range, or category.

Settings & permissions

The assistant only sees data the asking user has access to. Sensitive fields (financial details, confidential incidents) require additional permission.

Multi-building tips

By default the assistant uses your current building scope; you can override per question.

Troubleshooting

• Answer cites the wrong article. Use Was this helpful? below the answer; we re-tune the retrieval.
• No data shown. You may not have access to the requested building.

FAQ

Does the AI see resident PII? It only references data your role can already see, and never sends it to third-party model providers in plain text.
